The following are some pictures of the beach at the
Bolongo Bay Beach Resort. As I had read in other reviews before
we got there, the beack is rocky and has lots of shells in some places. We bought some water shoes at Sports
Authority (in the midwest in November too and reasonably priced) and were glad we did. They do sell them at the
resort gift shop but I believe they are more expensive.
The beach being rocky didn't distract us in any way from how much we enjoyed it. The shoes are easy to swim in too.
Most of the time the beach wasn't very crowded, so it was really nice and peaceful.

Here are left and right views of the beach:
You can see in this picture that the sand looks real nice - and it was - it was just into the water where it starts to get
rocky:
Here is a picture of the beach from out in the water. I had an underwater housing for our camera that we used for
snorkeling and
swam out in the water one day and took some pictures of the resort and beach:
They had various sailboats, giant tricycles and other things to use in the water:
Here is a short video of the beach:
Here's a close up of one of the giant tricycles. They are a little goofy to use, but a lot of fun too!
Here are some of the chairs along the beach. The picture was taken after dark, so it is a little blurred:
Here is a picture of some of the rocks and shells on the beach. You really need the water shoes - trust me!
